Over the past few years, Ive lost several loved ones to pancreatic cancer a disease as aggressive as it is unforgiving. Once diagnosed at an advanced stage, fewer than 10% of patients survive beyond five years. And in the last two decades, only two new treatments have been approved. Thats not good enough.

But there is hope.

At BC Cancer, brilliant minds true superheroes are pushing boundaries and developing novel, life-saving treatments for pancreatic cancer. On Sunday, July 27, Ill be taking on the Capilano Volkswagen Cypress Challenge to raise awareness and critical funds for this mission.

This year alone, over 800 British Columbians will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Fewer than 80 of them will live five years.

Despite being the 10th most common cancer, it is the 4th leading cause of cancer death in Canada and is on track to become the 2nd leading cause by 2030 unless we take action now.

Since 2008, the Cypress Challenge has raised over $5.2 million funding that fuels breakthroughs in research, treatment, and care. With your support, we can go further. We must go further.

Im not just riding up a mountain. Im riding for every family whos faced this terrible diagnosis. Im riding for the future one with better outcomes and real hope.

Please consider donating. 100% of proceeds go to research and treatment.

Thank you for your support.
